Members of 13 Air Assault Support Regiment have successfully completed the historic Commando Speed March, a grueling 6.7 mile route from Spean Bridge to Achnacarry, carrying 36lbs of equipment.
This march, first undertaken during World War II, was a critical selection test for prospective Commandos arriving at Spean Bridge after a long rail journey. Those who failed to complete it within an hour were immediately returned to their units. The 6.7 mile route remains a powerful symbol of endurance and legacy, paying tribute to the nearly 25,000 Commandos trained at Achnacarry Castle between 1942 and 1945.
The team proudly wearing their bespoke Keep Attacking T-Shirts, were extremely successful, 1st & 3rd individuals, 1st under 21 years old and 1st team.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
